CAI-West Virginia Makes Its Mark on National Stage with Two 2027 Council Appointments
Kathryn Knight and Gary Saylor Selected to Serve on National Community Associations Institute Councils as West Virginia's 65th Chapter Builds Its Presence
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — October 15, 2026
WEST VIRGINIA — The Community Associations Institute – West Virginia Chapter (CAI-WV), the organization's newest and 65th chapter, is already making its presence felt nationally. Two CAI-WV members have been selected to serve on CAI's national councils in 2027, bringing West Virginia's perspectives and experience to important conversations shaping the future of community associations across the country.

Gary Saylor and Kathryn Knight
Kathryn Knight, of Winwood Fly In Resort in Davis, West Virginia, has been selected to serve on the CAI Homeowner Leaders Council.
Gary Saylor, of Atlantic Maintenance Group in Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been selected to serve on the CAI Business Partner Council.
These appointments are especially significant for CAI-WV, which is establishing its statewide presence while contributing to CAI's national work. CAI's three national membership councils represent homeowner leaders, business partners, and community association managers through the Homeowner Leaders Council, Business Partner Council, and Community Association Managers Council.
Knight's appointment brings a West Virginia homeowner leader's perspective to the national council, while Saylor's selection brings the experience of a business partner serving the community association industry. Together, their participation demonstrates the breadth of professional and volunteer leadership represented in the growing West Virginia Chapter.
As CAI-WV develops educational programs, professional networking opportunities, industry resources, and statewide relationships, its members are also helping shape the larger national conversation about community association governance, management, and services.
The chapter congratulates Kathryn Knight and Gary Saylor on their selections and looks forward to their contributions throughout 2027.
